Welcome to our new website and brand. We hope you like it as much as we do.

Give Through Your IRA

Instead of taking your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) from your IRA and paying federal and state taxes, donate your RMD to Season of Sharing Fund. Every dollar will go towards housing, food, and other critical needs so our Bay Area neighbors can get back on their feet.

ELIGIBILITY

Support Season of Sharing Fund with a Tax-Free IRA Gift

To qualify, you must be over 70 1/2 if you were born before 1949 and age 72 after 1949 to make the distribution from a traditional IRA directly to a qualified charity (it cannot be from an ongoing SEP or SIMPLE IRA).

Gifts of any value $100,000 or less are eligible for this tax-free benefit. Ask a financial advisor at the institution holding your IRA how to make a donation to Season of Sharing Fund through the IRA charitable rollover, which is also sometimes referred to as a qualified charitable distribution, or QCD for short.
