In addition, when you make a donation to the Chronicle Season of Sharing Fund through our Website, we ask that you provide your name, telephone number, mailing address, e-mail address and credit card information. We will also use your contact information to update you on our work and fundraising efforts but you may opt out of these communications at any time, as discussed below under “Access To and Control Over Information”.

SoS takes precautions to protect your personal information. When you submit sensitive personal information via the Website, your personal information is protected both online and offline.

You can verify this by looking for a closed lock icon at the bottom of your web browser, or looking for “https” at the beginning of the address of the web page.

Only employees who need the personal information to perform a specific job (e.g., recording your donation) are granted access to personal information. If we determine we have inadvertently gathered personal information from a user under the age of 13, we will promptly delete any and all such personal information from our records. We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we do, we will update the “effective date” at the top of the Privacy Policy.
